Through the Asbestos National Strategic Plan and Silica National Strategic Plan, research is helping identify risks, improve detection and diagnosis, inform policy, and develop evidence-based strategies that prevent exposure and reduce disease.
The work of scientists and researchers is turning evidence into action, helping create safer workplaces, homes and communities for future generations.
At the Asbestos Silica Safety and Eradication Agency (ASSEA), their research team contributes to the evidence and knowledge needed to drive prevention, improve health outcomes, and support progress towards a future free from asbestos- and silica-related diseases.
AMAA recognises the immense work done by the ASSEA team and many others, including the Asbestos and Dust Diseases Research Institute (ADDRI). AMAA encourages them, with gratitude, to keep gaining knowledge to help improve health outcomes.
