There are many support organisations within our community, all offering various support options.
One problem living on the Queensland – NSW Border, is that some only provide their services in the one state and not in both, this page will try and clarify the situation
The Asbestos Diseases Foundation of Australia Inc. (ADFA)
Is a not-for profit organisation working to provide support to people living with asbestos related diseases, family members, carers and friends.

Asbestos Related Disease Support Society Queensland (ARDSSQ)
Is a self-funded organisation that aims to provide people affected by asbestos related disease and their families with emotional support as well as contacts for the best possible medical treatment and other relevant assistance.
Spiritus Queensland
Is a Not For Profit organisation providing services as far south as Coolangatta, they do not handle the NSW area.
They provide home services, Community Care, Residential Aged Care and Independent Living.
Feros Care NSW/Qld
Is a community owned, non-profit company with over 19 years experience in the provision of aged and community care services and can offer similar services to Spiritus. They cover the NSW and Queensland region
NSW Government
These services are provided for the people living on the NSW side of the border.

“When You Don’t Know Who To Call”, “Seniors Enquiry Line” is a Queensland wide telephone information and referral service linking Seniors, Grandparents, their Families, Friends, carers and community workers with information on Government and Community Services throughout the State.
