About AMAA

Our goal in providing advice on Asbestosis and Mesothelioma

The Asbestosis and Mesothelioma Association of Australia (AMAA) was established to offer assistance, information and guidance to people affected and/or concerned about asbestos.

AMAA supports the Queensland Gold Coast and Hinterland Region, also NSW Tweed and Far North East Areas. As it is largely retirees who are affected by asbestos disease, AMAA was created to offer assistance and advice to the large numbers of people with asbestos disease in this area.

AMAA aims to highlight and raise awareness within the community of the dangers posed by asbestos exposure and to minimise the risk of asbestos exposure to future generations.

AMAA volunteers are available to help you through offering telephone support, home and hospital visits, and peer to peer support through our member groups in Robina, Tweed Heads and Southport.

AMAA seeks to improve health and support services for people with asbestos related diseases, their families and the broader community. Our goals are that sufferers of asbestos related diseases will be offered a better quality of life and have access to greater treatment options and care.
